Administrator/Owners
Rick & Amanda Scenna
As Director of Operations, Rick Scenna brings over 10 years of healthcare experience to Expand Health. He has worked in business development and care coordination in the home care sector. He spent most of his career in the hospice arena where he served as a liaison coordinating hospice care for patients and families. He managed business development with operational oversight for hospice teams across multiple states.
As Administrator, Amanda Scenna provides daily oversight at Expand Health at Home. Her experience across the healthcare continuum includes both business development and operations in the home health, hospice and LTACH levels of care. “The most meaningful moments of my day are spent in conversation with patients and families or engaging with team members and professional healthcare partners. I love working together to provide solutions and hope for our patients and families.”
Rick, Amanda and their three children live in Howland, Ohio. “As much as we learn through the wisdom of our patients, we learn through the hearts of our children. They propel us to grow spiritually with the expectant hope that we raise compassionate, genuine souls with a heart for service and a love for people”.
Medical Director
Dr. Kapil Kwatra, MD
Dr. Kapil Kwatra is an internal medicine specialist with a large private practice in Warren, OH. As a graduate from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in 1981, he brings over 41 years experience in the medical field. He completed his residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia where he did extensive research in electrophysiology. He is affiliated with Mercy Health, Trumbull Regional Medical Center, Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital and Select Specialty LTACH. He is Chairman of Medicine at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.
Expand Health at Home is extremely grateful for Dr. Kwatra to serve as our Medical Director. He stands united with Expand Health to provide the utmost quality care to the patients we serve.
As much as he is dedicated to his patients, Dr. Kwatra is dedicated to his family including his wife, 3 children and grandchildren.
Alternate Administrator/Owner
Michael R. Senchak
Michael is a graduate of the Youngstown State University school of business. During his tenure at YSU, Michael was awarded the Senior Leadership Award in Management and graduated summa cum laude.
Michael grew up watching his father work in various healthcare settings. This example inspired him to start his first healthcare business in 2013. Michael and his father now own and operate businesses in the healthcare continuum in Ohio and Florida.
Outside of work, you can often find Michael enjoying the great outdoors with his wife Kelley and dogs Bruno, Cowboy and Dingo. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and being in nature. Michael has the honor to be an Elder and Treasurer at his local church.
Certified Senior Advisor – Advisor/Owner
Mike S. Senchak, R.N
Mike brings over 45 years of healthcare experience. He started his healthcare career as an orderly while obtaining various degrees from YSU, including undergraduate degrees in Business and Nursing, and a Master in Business Administration degree. His healthcare experiences include providing direct patient care in various clinical settings, nursing administration and hospital administration. In 1999 Mike started Mahoning Valley Hospital and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer for nine years.
Over the past ten years Mike and his son, Michael, have operated several businesses in the healthcare continuum. Most recently, the partnership with Rick and Amanda Scenna has led to the creation of Expand Health at Home.
In his free time, he enjoys thoroughbred horses, golfing, fishing and spending time with his wife Jeanne, children Michael (Kelley) and Kimberly (John), and his granddaughter Gabriella, aka “Gabba.”
